Side Plank - Vasisthasana is the Pose of the Week

Side Plank is a pose that has variations that are appropriate for every level of practice. If this version freaks you out, take a look at these simpler variations to help you build arm strength. For the more advanced, try bringing the sole of the top foot to the bottom inner thigh, as if you were in a leaning Tree Pose.

There are other variations that can make this pose more challenging, such as lifting the top leg and letting it hover, or lifting that top leg and grabbing the big toe with the middle and index fingers.
