Following last year's ban on yoga for Muslims in Malaysia, Muslim clerics in Indonesia have issued a similar fatwa, specifically against Muslims participating in Hindu-based chanting. Meanwhile, Yoga Journal reports that the popularity of chanting is on the rise in the U.S. So how do you feel about chanting with your yoga?

I like it; if by secular you mean going on from age to age/continuing on for ages, then Yes; if you mean it is not regarded as religious, spiritual, or sacred – I do not categorize either with religion. Its calming, clearing, & brings you joy when you sing the chants joining all the bodies – physical, emotional, mental & spiritual & has withstood time & tyranny.
