Dolphin Pose Is the Yoga Pose of the Week

Dolphin pose (aka puppy) is a variation on downward facing dog in which the forearms rest flat on the floor. Since this takes the weight of the body off the wrists, it's a good alternative for those with wrist pain, including that caused by Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

Dolfin poose is also great for working stiff and weak shoulders. As someone who had recent surgery on my left shoulder and is due to have surgery on my right one as well, I find dolfin pose quite difficult, however the strength and alignment it brings to the shoulders is well worth the practice.
