I bet you are going to hear a lot about heart opening in yoga classes this Valentine's week. In backbends, try visualizing a string or a line of energy pulling your heart forward (or up, as in the case of bridge pose). For a passive heart-opener, try lying down flat with a block between your shoulder blades. I like to use one with rounded edges, like the Three Minute Egg.
